Who we are
Elmarota is an agricultural export house working across staples, produce and processed foods. We buy direct from grower groups across nine Russian regions, grade and pack to buyer specification at our Kumertau site, and ship to importers, processors and retail chains in more than twenty-five countries.
The business was built around a simple frustration: agricultural trade is full of intermediaries, and every one of them adds distance between the buyer and the field. We removed that distance. When a buyer asks where a lot came from, we can name the village, the grower group and the week it was picked.
Our story
From one crop and one market to six categories.
We started with one crop and one market, because that is the least forgiving way to learn the trade. Miss the specification by a fraction and the cargo arrives worth less than the freight. Getting it right, season after season, taught us the discipline everything else now runs on.
Buyers who trusted us with one line began asking for the next, then the one after that. The catalogue grew because the relationships did, not the other way round.
